Preceda Organisation Structures

Preceda Organisation Structures workshop explains how to enable an organisation structure within Preceda, as well as build a position hierarchy that enables human resources reporting. The organisation structure is fundamental for the security of Preceda Users, as well as reporting via Report Manager. The position hierarchy is the foundation for workflows and requests from Employee Self Service, in that they direct applications to the correct “reports to” manager.

Description

 At the completion of this Training session, participants will be able to:

  • Create organisation units and allocate them to the appropriate levels to reflect your organisation
  • Build an Organisation Chart using Microsoft Visio
  • Establish position definitions to create a position hierarchy
  • View a Position Chart using Microsoft Visio
  • View a variety of standard position reports
  • Allocate existing employees onto these newly created positions
  • Review the standard headcount reports within Preceda

Prerequisites

Successful completion of Preceda Introduction Training session. Participants must have an understanding of their own organisational structure and expectations of how the organisation chart and position hierarchy should be established to accommodate security and Self Service workflows.
