Intermediate Crystal Reports

Intermediate Crystal Reports session continues from the Crystal Introduction session to familiarise Users with formulas, pivot tables and advanced graphing options to optimise and display relevant information. This session forms the second day to follow Introduction to Crystal Reports from Preceda.

Crystal Reports is a third party reporting tool that allows data to be extracted from Preceda and then manipulated and presented in a user-friendly format.

Description

At the completion of this Training session, participants will be able to:

  • Use more than one Extract within a Crystal Report to expand the reporting capabilities
  • Create basic formulas to manipulate data into a meaningful format
  • Create reports that present information in columns, rather than rows
  • Change the way data is displayed, depending on the actual data
  • Create Pivot Tables to present data in a summary format
  • Format the sections within a Crystal Report, including add page breaks
  • Add run-time parameters to reports to enable data to be dynamic
  • Add advanced grouping options to customise the display of data

Prerequisites

Participants must completed Introduction to Crystal Reports, and have an in-depth understanding of their organisational reporting requirements.
