Preceda Payroll New User

The Preceda Payroll New User session (incorporating Preceda Introduction on the morning of day one) introduces the features and operating functions of Preceda Payroll. Participants will become familiar with the many aspects of the Preceda Payroll Module, including maintaining employee records, time card entry, payroll processing and reports.

At the completion of this Training session, participants will be able to:

  • Competently navigate around the Preceda Payroll environment
  • Navigate with either a mouse or key board strokes
  • Enter new employee details to enable the employee to be paid
  • Action terminated employees within Preceda
  • Change and maintain pay rates
  • Complete various tasks within employee maintenance
  • Establish a pay run header to enable time card entry
  • Enter time card details
  • Process a complete payrun, including the calculation of leave
  • Produce and balance the required payroll reports
  • Understand how to review jobs and reports within Console
  • Understand how to balance payroll reports
  • Understand the steps within the Preceda payroll process
  • Close off the payrun after processing
  • Understand the ease of processing with One Step Processing


Participants must have a payroll background and an understanding of their own organisation’s specific payroll requirements.
